CM: Canadian Review of Materials is looking for a web manager to assist with the creation of journal issues released between September and June.

CM is an open access non-profit electronic journal of Canadian children’s and young adult literature owned and operated by the Manitoba Library Association (MLA).  CM is freely available on the Web at http:// www.umanitoba.ca/cm and is housed on a community server at the University of Manitoba.  CM is published by a team of dedicated volunteers 41 times annually with some 850 book reviews. There are currently five web managers and a sixth is needed.

The new web manager would be responsible for taking Word files and creating html text and placing into existing templates for table of contents and review content for approximately 20–25 book reviews per issue. You would undertake the development of eight issues annually taking approximately 2–3 hours per issue. As a web manager for CM, you become a member of CM’s Board of Dlrectors which reports to the MLA. Several of our long standing web managers act as our IT and journal-creation specialists so there is professional assistance to guide you with your work.  Your first issue would be early October 2016.

If you are interested in taking on this volunteer activity for Canada’s only national reviewing journal of children’s and young adult literature, please send your resume to Dr. John Tooth, Managing Editor, CM, at j.tooth@videotron.ca.
